### Routing with MPLS

With the introduction of 5G, cloud computing, smart phones and media rich services, the resultant network traffic patterns and year-on-year bandwidth growth is placing a costly strain on existing operator infrastructure. Further, to improve revenue and return on infrastructure investment, operators are looking to evolve to an on-demand flexible architecture that can be tuned and sliced to individual application requirements (latency, bandwidth, resource etc), enabling the infrastructure to be truly application-aware.

To meet these expectations, there is a demand for a new cloud-grade class of routing platform that can keep pace with the on-going bandwidth demands in a cost-efficient manner and a new approach to network software and architecture, to deliver a more software centric approach to service delivery, ensuring cost-effective on-going elastic scale and flexibility while delivering continuous operational and automation improvements at scale.

In this Arista Netbuilders webinar series, we will discuss the hardware and software trends that now make Cloud-Grade routing possible for operators, along with the software features that enable a leaner, more agile and programmable protocol stack, for the access, metro, provider edge and core.

## **Session 3: Traffic Engineering and migration strategies with MPLS-SR**

**March 24th, 10AM PT / 1PM ET**

In this session,  we'll discuss and demonstrate EOS's tunnel-rib framework and how it can be used to manage the coexistence of  LDP, RSVP and SR tunnels for both  migration purposes and the selective resolution of VPN services. The session will also cover the resolution of VPN service over traffic-engineered SR paths using the color tunnel-rib and FlexAlgo.
