Session 8: Deploying multi-tenant multicast with EVPN OISM (Part 2)

In session 5 of the NetBuilders EVPN series, we discussed the latest EVPN standards and route types for delivering multicast applications within a multi-tenant environment. In this follow-up session, we build on the concepts introduced in session 5, with an in-depth demonstration and packet walkthrough of the operation of the new route types (6, 7, 8 and 10) and the OISM (Optimized Inter-Subnet Multicast) forwarding plane. The session will also cover the pros and cons of alternative transport models, multi-homing options for multicast resiliency and the role of the EVPN PEG node when interacting with multicast applications external to the EVPN domain.
