Session 10: Modernizing the Network Packet Broker

NOVEMBER 30TH, 10AM PT / 1PM ET

Visibility into the network is a paramount goal for enterprises and organizations of all kinds. Traditionally, Network Packet Broker (NPB) solutions have been used to provide this visibility. While networks have evolved over time, legacy NPB solutions remain stuck in the past with their complex box-by-box approach using proprietary hardware connected to specific parts of the network. This provides limited visibility with silos of NPBs creating islands of tools, increasing complexity and costs.

This is in stark contrast to the DANZ Monitoring Fabric (DMF) solution from Arista Networks. DMF provides a single management console for a scale-out next generation monitoring fabric that uses the same switch hardware used for the data center production network. DMF provides pervasive visibility within a resilient monitoring fabric that enables a centralized tool farm, providing efficiencies in network operations and helps to reduce unnecessary costs. In addition, DMF provides integrated tools for network analysis and packet visibility.

In this continuation of the DMF Netbuilders series, our panel of experts will discuss how DMF modernizes the role of a Network Packet Broker by delivering pervasive visibility, contextual insights and automation of NetOps workflows. Join us for this session where we will get you up to date on the latest DMF functionality, demonstrate the latest Application ID Service Node managed services, and demonstrate the ease with which DMF enables automation of workflows.
