Arista recently announced the acquisition of Awake Security, a Network Detection and Response (NDR) platform provider, that combines artificial intelligence (AI) with human expertise. By combining AI with human expertise, Awake autonomously models and hunts for insider and external attacker behaviours across traditional, IoT, OT and cloud networks.
The Awake Security Platform does this by analysing billions of network communications to autonomously discover, profile and classify devices, users and applications across any network. Using a multi-dimensional machine learning approach, Awake models complex adversarial behaviours and connects the dots across entities, time, protocols and attack stage. This enables Awake to deliver threat detections with low false positives and negatives and provides the context necessary for triage, incident response and remediation.
